Joppatowne High School presents “Freaky Friday: A New Musical”
JOPPATOWNE, Md. — The Joppatowne High School theater program, the JTowne Players, recently staged a vibrant production of Disney’s “Freaky Friday: A New Musical,” featuring a large student cast and highlighting the talents of its senior class.
The production starred Zo’Riana Everette as Ellie Blake and Lily Thompson as Katherine Blake, supported by a strong ensemble including Nyiah Thompson, Christian Harris, Makayla Bowser and Gavin Ambrose.
Senior performers reflected on their final production with gratitude and pride, citing personal growth, community support and the opportunity to take the stage one last time.
With a runtime of approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes, the musical featured energetic numbers such as “Just One Day” and “Busted,” telling the story of a mother and daughter who magically swap bodies and learn to understand each other.
